Attorney Inzelbuch: Watch this mother’s plea; It’s time to Demand a Change in Formula, and Demand Equity from Trenton (VIDEO)

[VIDEO BELOW] Special Education Attorney Michael Inzelbuch: “I had the opportunity to attend the Lakewood Board of Education meeting last week.

I had the opportunity to see the pain, grief, and raw emotions that was expressed not by the teachers union head (who at the meeting received an approval to receive a full time salary for less teaching hours – see attached) but by some of the public school parents who attended the meeting on behalf of their children. OUR children.

Here, is but one example (see video).

A mother who I do not know.

A mother whose children I do not represent.

A mother who is apparently most involved with her student’s education.

A mother of what appears to be 2 classified (special education) students.

While I surely don’t agree with the vitriol nor the innuendo, I do agree that the time has come for EVERYONE to help this mother, her children, and then many more out there who need US.

It is time for the masses to DEMAND more funds, DEMAND a change of the funding formula, and DEMAND equity from Trenton.”

  1. What exactly should we do? Definitely a lot of people want to help, but we don’t know what we can do.

Article says DEMAND change. How? Where?? The politicians already know of the issue. What does it take to fix it??

  2. In my opinion, while I understand this woman’s frustrations, her wording was inappropriate. On what grounds is she accusing anyone (as you all) stole from the children? Can she clarify?

  3. Right on with MIchael on this one. It IS time to DEMAND more from Trenton. Why are we as a community not seeing our representatives fight for this? Our vote is strong enough. We are getting painted as thieves in the media, while the state basically forces us to pay for things that we are not able to even raise the revenue for. The situation is going to have to give at some point.
