The attached video was taken in the area by a veteran emergency responder.
In the video, a child can be seen sticking his arm out of the school bus window, attempting to touch utility poles or street signs as the bus is moving.
The boy can then be seen sticking his head out the window too.
This dangerous action could have left the child without an arm, or worse, dead.
Every bus should have a 2nd adult bus monitor. I don’t know why we think just a driver on a bus is enough. Or that the driver should be responsible to drive in lakewood, and watch the kids. Who is running the school bus system?? Like hello wake up
SO when are you signing up?
The parents and schools need to inform the kids about their safety on the street and on the bus. The truth there is a lot of kids these days they don’t listen or follow simple instructions for their safety.
Instead of taking videos, why didn’t he alert the bus driver?!?
They should have child proof windows and only the driver should control the windows
After the bus driver is alerted, what happens next?
As a “veteran” Hatzolah member, the first thing I would do is alert the bus driver!
