As a parent, this video is very concerning.
But as a person driving in lkwd, it’s just as concerning.
Just yesterday, I was backing out of my driveway and there were kids coming down the block on a scooter and hover board and Bh I saw them at the last moment. I looked both ways before backing out, but as a driver there is only so much you can do and see.
I have a back up camera, but it won’t help when as you’re backing out they’re coming fast from the side.
I tell my kids, look out for backing cars when you’re riding.

When parking in to a driveway, the ideal thing is to back in so when you go out things like this shouldn’t happen. Backing in is much easier to see the surroundings than backing out like cars & people. Yes, it’s much easier just to drive in to your driveway. However, it’s safer to back in.
When backing into your driveway you need to check too 😉 also a good idea is to honk as to alert kids of a moving vehicle
It’s ddefinitely important to keep reiterating the need to drive safely and avoid speeding and any distractions while driving,especially when children are around.
It would be nice though for parents to start teaching their children to take responsibility and that kids on bikes don’t own the road.
I know that block….no one stops by that stop sign…
