Here’s a message from DPW’s Mordy Holder:
Hey there, Mordy Holder here, I hope you all had a fantastic Purim!
Now that the costumes are put away and your houses are all full of chametz (a month before Pesach no less), the planning for cleaning has begun. As you may know, recycling has been a bit of an issue of late, so to enlighten the residents about the do’s and don’ts of recycling, The Lakewood Township Public Works has made a magnet.
For those who receive The Voice magazine (via the Lakewood Courier), please enjoy your complimentary magnet. For all of the residents that do not receive The Voice magazine, don’t worry, we have your free magnet here. Come down to the Public Works office located at 1 America Ave. Lakewood NJ. 08701, the office hours are 8am to 3:30pm.
What I never see if should be recycled is aluminum Pans! I always see about cans and foil – but what about the disposable pans that come in all sizes… am I the only one who uses them by the case?
Aluminum pans don’t have to be recycled. I’ve spoken to someone that works there.
Maybe instead of mailing magnets to a few you should have made simple postcards and sent them to everyone. Many people have to work and can’t get to the DPW during the hours mentioned. Others don’t follow this website so they would never know about the magnets.
