UPDATE: As many as 16 people shot in Brooklyn Train Station Attack; Statement from NJ AG, NJSP

As many as 16 people were shot in an attack in a train in Brooklyn this morning.

The attack started about 8:00 AM on train in the area of 25th Street.

According to initial reports, the attacker, reportedly wearing a gas mask and construction vest, waited for the doors of the train to shut before using a smoke device and then opening fire, wounding many people.

The NJSP stated, “We are closely monitoring the situation in Brooklyn, N.Y. Utilizing the New Jersey Regional Operations and Intelligence Center, we are in constant communication with our law enforcement partners with the state and throughout the region.”

“We are closely monitoring the Brooklyn subway shooting and are in contact with NJSP and our other partners. Please keep law enforcement in your thoughts as they work to resolve the situation, as well as those tragically impacted,” Acting NJ Attorney General J. Platkin said.

    • Y9ou want airport security at trains?! maybe the guy was a criminal before who was set free because he codnh’t afford bail. THAT would be an issue

    • You are 100% correct. However be advised that the shooter is still on the loose and there has been a 43% increase in cops shot this year so far. So… keep the cops in mind too. They need our prayers also.

  1. The 36st. Station is a main station: The D , N & R all stop there. My wife and I change trains at that station often. When my wife has a dentist appointment at her Central Park Manhattan dentist and I’m working in Boro Park that day , on the way in from Lakewood I drop her off at the Ft. Hamilton N station of which she takes it 2 stops to 36 st. And changes there for the D express straight to Central Park area.
    That train station is very heavily Asian of which mostly Asians were shot; African Americans are very mad at Asians as they were very hard hit from Covid.
