1. seatbelt laws are unconstitutional. not wearing a seatbelt affects no one but the fool not wearing it

2. Stay off the phone while driving! The call can wait. Distracted driving DOES affect others. Aside for the cognitive distraction that is so dangerous, the first offense carries a fine of $200-$400, not including court fees, and a mandatory court appearance, and the loss of salary that that court appearance may cause.

3. Police are supposed to service the public. These state troopers just come to fill their quotas and state coffers. They don’t come to assist the public that they work for. I guess they don’t have anything more important to tend to. Everyone that needs police assistance for even minor items should stop these state troopers and make them help. If you have an elderly relative that needs shopping done ask the state troopers for a ride. If you’re not sure if you’re homes windows and doors have good locks ask them to look. If there’s a corner which has too much traffic ask them to stand the corner and direct the traffic. If you know of a spot or house that traffics drugs request that they go get a search warrant and keep our neighborhoods safe. They should be working for the public and seemingly aren’t busy. It’s time for us to get value from our tax dollars and not just be used as piggy banks.

   Stop bashing cops, fool. If you have time to write stupid comments about the police, you have time to drive your mother to the grocery, check your own locks and inform the police about criminal activity. Oh wait… you can call them to give you a lift to PESS.

5. actually these guys are here to keep up safe. They are keeping an extra eye out for the high holidays and straight thru sukkos. They were requested by the LAKEWOOD POLICE

9. What is up with the state troopers in town almost daily it’s getting to a point where I start to question wait do we have a police department in Lakewood? Yes a loud resounding yes we have the best police department period our officers truly care for the town and they do serve to protect.Any interaction I have had with the local PD have been nothing but curties pleasant and professional! Which leads me to believe the state troopers are really not needed on a usual bases yes maybe for the holiday I can see that the local police have requested them to be here but not the whole year! Enough is enough stop Targeting lkwd I think freehold can use some state troopers or maybe belmar …
