Approximately 30 Vehicles Parked at Bonei Olam Event at iPlay America Ticketed for Expired or Missing Inspection Stickers

Approximately 30 attendees of Bonei Olam’s event last night came outside to find tickets on their windshields, TLS has learned.

According to sources, the vehicles were all parked at the iPlay America parking lot when the vehicles were ticketed for either missing or expired inspection stickers.

A Bonei Olam source confirmed that as many as 30 vehicles were ticketed.

The ticketed are planning to hire an attorney to dismiss the tickets they say were wrongfully issued, as the vehicles were parked on private property at the time.

TLS reached out to Freehold Police for comment, but as of this posting have not yet received a response.

  1. I arrived just after the time stamp on this ticket shown… with an expired sticker. Hashgacha that I must have just missed it, as there was no ticket on my windshield that I noticed.

  2. Sorry folks, parking lots are fair game especially if someone flags down or calls a policeman. It’s not something they want to get involved with unless pressed to do so. The question should be why are so many vehicles not inspected? I have yet to spend more then 20 minutes every other year at the inspection station. The only time you fail is if you have a check engine light on due to a emissions code.

    • Nobody flaged down a police man for expired inspections, you idiot.

They just need money for the township.

Go take your fourth COVID booster shot.

  3. There are numerous cars past due for inspection.
Worthwhile for all to check their inspection sticker. Some cars are several years overdue

    • It doesn’t cost anything! You go to the inspection station wait online show your insurance. The whole thing takes abt 10 15 mins tops. No mechanics no money

  4. The first thing to do is to ascertain if the owners of the property requested Title 39 enforcement rights on their property.

N.J.S.A. 39:5a-1 permits property owners to file such requests with the Township, who then forwards such request to the State Department of Transportation.

If the property owner did file a written request for Title 39 enforcement rights then it’s a whole different story…

  5. Am I the only one curious why they targeted cars owned by orthodox Jews as per the publicly known Jewish event going on inside?? Is this something the Freehold precinct does daily?

  6. I was in IPlay America on Chol Hamoed Succos and got a ticket for not having an inspection sticker on my leased van. Same thing then, a police officer was going around and catching many cars. I didn’t realize I didn’t have a sticker, because usually on a lease you don’t have to evel deal with this. When I called the leasing agent, they told me that during covid the MVC was closed for many months and the dealers ran out of stickers so there was a waiver. They were supposed to send out later but apparently many dealers never did and that’s why so many cars don’t have. Be vigilant before going to Freehold as apparently the officers there know many people don’t have stickers, and check your windshield

    • Same here – I got ticketed for a missing sticker because of this – It was 3 years ago and I completely forgot about it – An expired sticker may be different.

  7. Hashem should send to all these 30 families the extra funds to be able to afford to pay these fines or the legal fees.
    Good Shabbos to everyone

  8. 30 cars with expired inspection stickers in one place…indicates there are hundreds of expired inspections across the region. Maybe a contributing cause to all the accidents….cars with bad tires and mechanicals???

  9. I think that the cops should ticket cars parked in handicapped parking spaces when they do not have a placard. Just so everyone should know….the lines between two handicapped spots is NOT s spot. It is meant for a wheel chair ramp for when a handicapped person needs to be wheeled out of the van. A driver who parks there and prevents a handicapped person from being able to get out of a van is open to a kapada from a handicapped person who is now essentially trapped inside his vehicle.

  10. OK so lets say you were on private property, then the question comes to this–HOW did you get there?? were you not driving without the inspection??Or did you all have your cars towed there?

  11. I had this 2 years ago in that parking lot on Chol Hamoed. My registration expired on Yom Tov. Judge said too bad. Gotta renew on time or keep the vehicle parked in your driveway.

The unfair part is that the MVC absolutely sucks. It got a bit better since 2 years ago, but it still needs help.
At least some things got digitized, like renewing a registration can now be done from the comfort of your home.

    • Across the nation moter vehicle departments are staffed with the most incompetent workers imaginable, and those who are too incompetent even for them become TSA agents.

  12. Lots of Bootlickers in the comments here.
If you don’t realize that it’s one big racketeering scheme, then I think you should take your 4th COVID booster shot and triple mask.

It was never about public safety, it’s all about making money for the township

  13. This cop is notorious for giving tickets in parking lots. He gave me 4 tickets while I was parked in my car. They were ridiculous tickets. One was for ‘taking too long to find my paperwork while he gave me ample time to do so’. The lawyer I used was able to dismiss most of the charges BH but he told me this cop does this and it’s very hard to get the tickets dismisses as he usually has some basis for something. The judge there is also really tough, I wouldn’t recommend trying to fight it on your own.
