PHOTO: Another Lakewood Wedding Hall Installs a Generator

In response to numerous power outages, the Ateres Reva wedding hall in Lakewood today took delivery of a new generator to keep the power running during blackouts.

The new Matel Leah halls also have a generator, and other halls are reportedly in the process of installing them – as recent incidents left Baalei Simcha very unhappy.

Chaveirim CJ responded to halls numerous times during recent blackouts to keep the Simcha going.

They should install it because it makes sense not just because people are unhappy

Maybe if somebody pulls the plug (no pun intended) on the generators at the JCP&L offices……..the blackouts would stop.

On a more serious note, these cooperations are obviously drives by financial interests. It is time for them to be required to reimburse and credit all households effected by a blackout to the point that they would be financially incentivized to upgrade the vulnerable infrastructure.

many halls may be getting a generator due to a security grant, and not because they are willing to spend the money on it. So it’s not because of unhappy people but rather because it’s free.

Schron hall did it in the summer. No grant was available.
