The Lakewood BOE today issued the following statement today.

Dear Nonpublic School Administrators,

I hope this message finds you well.

It has come to the attention of the Administration, Members of the Board of Education, and General Counsel that there may be ongoing concerns regarding nonpublic transportation during arrival and dismissal times. To address and resolve these issues effectively, the Lakewood Board of Education is requesting the following:

1. Each nonpublic school’s transportation coordinator should maintain a daily log of all morning and afternoon buses.
   • Record the arrival time of each bus at the school during both arrival and dismissal times.
   • Note any buses that did not arrive as scheduled (mark them as “no-show”).
2. Report any issues or irregularities directly to the District’s Transportation Compliance & Safety Officer, Ray Cherboni.
