An update from the Lakewood Post Office

The Lakewood USPS office has been shut since January 5, reportedly due to Covid.

Today, the USPS hung up the following notices at their Lakewood branch:

    I’d like to wish all the PO employees a speedy and full recovery.
    Speaking of the PO employees I think they deserve a shout out. My son works in a busy Amazon Company. He was at the PO dropping off pkgs almost every day leading up to the Holidays. He told me, the guys at the drop off center were were working the heads up. The amount of ppl in Lkwd in Amazon is enormous. And they’re busy. He reckoned Lkwd PO may be the busiest PO in the COUNTRY !! The place was a zoo and the PO staff were amazing.
    Maybe that’s why they’re closed; they’re worn out to the bone !!
