[COMMUNICATED] Bring friends! Tell your neighbors! Your mother, mother in law, aunts and cousins! Share the wisdom!
There is much to learn from Rav Avigdor Miller ztl. He would say that each of our lives is comparable to a story book. There are many chapters in our lives, as well as many diverse characters.
As we journey along we will encounter challenges, adding drama to our stories.
Possibly, the most important lesson contained within this analogy is that while each chapter holds potential for growth and joy, the transitions may be challenging as we segue from one stage to the next.
In fact, many of us are in transitional mode right now, at this very moment. We all stand to benefit from the guidance, the validation, encouragement and inspiration from those journeying along with us, as well as those who are a bit further ahead on this journey. We are the women of wisdom!! Ben shishim l’ziknah!!(Pirkei Avos, 5,25) As Rashi teaches us, ‘Zeh shakanah chachma’.
Together, with Hashem’s help, we must do our utmost to optimize these years, to use our time well, to further develop ourselves, our inner selves, as well as our particular skill set.
We need to keep learning.. and we need to teach others who would benefit from our particular expertise or experience. Perhaps now we finally have time to breathe, time to devote to the greater community.
But how? What? Who? When? Where?
There are aspects of our lives that are begging to be adjusted and realigned. Health issues must be dealt with; self care has become vital. Family relationships may be shifting. Social and recreational needs should be addressed. Join us as we establish a network, a venue where we can comfortably examine these topics.
Mazal tov!! This open dialogue, this conversation is officially beginning.
Join with Sara Brejt, Reb. Faigie Horowitz, Miriam Liebermann and Reb. Ettie Neustadt to explore our options.
