This is a continuation of an ongoing series of Amazon Seller Performance Related information.
- Vendor Central has stopped issuing POS for many Vendors for reasons unknown. It’s likely related to business reasons and a fundamentally restructuring on the VC business model. Their communication is not great, and the response time is very slow.
- Calling up SS and changing the category of a competitor is a serious violation that will get you seriously suspended. This is a very bad idea if you’re doing this.
- Many experienced watch guys received an email saying they will need the approval to sell Watches shortly even though they already received approval years ago. I am unsure what this is about thus far and may be a mistake — Will update in future posts.
- Many sellers received this “We are contacting you to let you know that, due to human error, we inadvertently disclosed your email address to a small number of US SFP sellers. This occurred yesterday while sending our standard SFP refunds report. We contacted these sellers immediately and asked them to delete the report. No action is required on your end, and we apologize for this mistake.”
- Amazon is giving much more details on how an item allegedly infringes + the full contact information including the firm that filed the complaint. “We removed one or more of your listings for the XXXXX at the end of this message because we received a report from a rights owner that the packaging or product inserts for the products infringe the rights owner’s trademarks. Please do not relist these or similar XXXX products unless the dispute with the rights owner has been resolved. The rights owner who submitted the report is: XXXXX and XXXXX,”
- New Language in France only: “Dear Customer, we are contacting you because we received a notification of a violation of selective distribution rights of the rights holder below. Sellers on Amazon.fr does not have the right to create offers or detailed pages violating selective distribution rights. “
- If your suspended for >90 days and Amazon is holding your funds, you have a very strong case if appealed correctly to at least get your funds. Seek advice form a professional as this money should be disbursed after 90 days as long as no real counterfeit was sold
- Amazon.CA has started asking some users to connect a webcam during signup to use for verification purposes. “Video Capture We will record a 5-second video of your face. The video will be encrypted and stored for identification purpose.”
- Iowa and Alabama have joined the marketplace facilitator as of Jan 1. It seems like most states will be going down this path.
- New: “Since you have mentioned in your plan of action that currently you have only one supplier, we would request you to kindly provide us with other invoices from the same supplier for the other products you wish to carry in your seller account once the selling privileges have been reinstated.”
- New “We are currently reviewing your account because your inventory is not appropriately labeled with Transparency codes. The listings at the end of this email are no longer active, and funds will not be transferred to you and will stay in your account while we work with you to address this issue. Why did I receive this message? The item(s) listed at the end of this email is part of Amazon’s Transparency program. Transparency is an item-level tracing service that helps protect customers from counterfeit.”
