All Elementary Girls Placed In School

TLS has learned that all elementary girls have been placed in a school, as of today. An Asken tells TLS that from the 100 girls who were without a school since Pesach, there were 3 girls remaining without a school until today. “The Mosdos bent over backwards to take the girls in”, the Asken says.

  1. this is pathetic they shouldnt have to bend over backwards everyone should have a school to go to on the first day think about if it was ur child!!!!!!

  2. the klal needs to understand we are all responsible for one another. kol yisrael araivim zeh lazeh. We need to live these words its not just a saying. Our friends pain is our pain! Those innocent children are the karbonos hashem yerachem! How could us mature adults be in such a matzav to begin with? It’s unacceptable! Teshuva is in order here. I hope we will all take upon ourselves to do 100% better next year in relation to this issue.

  3. Why is it that no one can change their mind about what is best for their child once they get older? There is no ability to change schools if one needs to. Sometimes you do not know what school suits your child best until they get older or if they do not have a good class. Parents should not be forced to be hostage to a school and should be allowed free will to do what they feel is best

  4. my son needs a school too
everyday he cries when his siblings leave
he wants to go to school so much
he has even started asking why he is not in school

  5. “Bent over backwards”. Wow hats off to all the wonderful mosdos who bent over backwards to accept these little innocent children. What a true and selfess act of kindness. Mi k”amcha yisroel !! What other nation can say the same for themselves ?! What a joyous day for the entire lakewood community. How lucky I feel to be a part of all this….

How pathetic… Al zeh daveh libeinu !

  6. Dear Menahal. Just curious.. I went thru this last year, and I am completely normal well liked individual, WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO GET ACCEPTED LIKE A NORMAL HUMAN BEING??? What do u look out for when accepting students into your school?? Money??? Husband learnng in yeshiva??? If this is what its all about -SO SAD!! My husband wakes up early morning to learn then tries to make a living and then comes home late at night from learning!!! And at the end of the day, who do u go to for money?????????I don get it!

  7. You are right It is pathetic . Its pathetic that out of a tzibur of tens of thousands ,there are only a few dozen people that care enough to create and fund our schools . The rest just sit and complain about how pathetic it is .

  8. Wow! My heart goes out to those boys who have not yet been accepted to school…my son just started last week. The questions, tantrums, and longing looks as the busses go by are just absolutely unacceptable and entirely preventable. If only we would have listened to Rav Shteinman years ago when he addressed this situation and advised us to create a vaad which would be given the sole responsibility and power to fill spots by all the mosdos. Only when the mosdos are willing to come together and allow an unbiased vaad to handle acceptances will all children have somewhere to go before the first day of school. Until then, don’t expect nex year to yield different results; we are still working with the same broken system. Yaasher Koach to the askonim and the current vaad for all of their hard work and to the mosdos who truely do bend over backwards to accept as many students as possible.

  9. THERE IS A FAMOUS STORY WHICH HAPPENED IN YESHIVA TORAH V DASS ,A YOUNG BOY WHO WAS A YOSOM WAS TOLD BY HIS MOTHER THAT SHE TRIED TO GET HIM INTO YESHIVA MANY TIMES AND SHE CANT TRY ANYMORE.SO HE WENT DOWN THERE HIMSELF & TOLD THE PRINCIPAL HE WANTS TO COME LEARN TORAH ,THE PRINCIPAL ASKED HIM HOW OLD HE IS ,HE SAID HE IS 12,THE PRINCIPAL THEN ASKED HIM DO YOU KNOW HOW TO READ & LEARN ,HE SAID NO,BUT I AM WILLING TO SIT WITH THE 3 & 4 YEARS OLD BOYS & LEARN FROM SCRATCH!,THE PRINCIPAL TOLD HIM WE DONT HAVE ROOM FOR ANY MORE DESKS IN THE ROOM ,THE BOY SAID HE DOESNT MIND STANDING ALL DAY JUST TO LEARN TORAH ! THE PRINCIPAL SAID WE CANT ALLOW THAT ETC. THE BOY FINALLY TOOK OUT A PAPER & ASKED THE PRINCIPAL TO SIGN IT ! IN THE PAPER WAS WRITTEN ! I MOSHE THE SON OF R’ ARRON OF BLESSED MEMORY TRYED EVERY THING I COULD TO LEARN TORAH BUT WAS NOT ALLOWED TO,SO THEFORE I DONT KNOW OR UNDERSTAND THE TORAH ! THE PRINCIPAL ASKED HIM WHY DO YOU WANT ME TO SIGN IT ? THE BOY ANSWERED SO AFTER I DIE & GO UP TO HEAVEN & MEET MY FATHER ,HE IS GOING TO ASK ME ,MOSHE ! DID YOU LEARN TORAH ? I WILL SAY I TRYED BUT THEY DIDNT LET ME INTO SCHOOL ! ” THE PRINCIPAL LET HIM IN RIGHT AWAY ! THE BOY EVENTUALLY BECAME A REBBE IN THE YESHIVA & WAS DEVOTED TO HELPING THE WEAKER STUDENTS WITH THEIR LEARNING !!!!!!!!!!! NO NEED TO WRITE MORE !!!!!!!!!

  10. There is also a story about an Iranian bochur who went to Reb Meir Stern Shli”ta to get in to Yeshiva (about 25 years ago). Reb Meir told him that I would love to have you but there’s mamish no room in the dorm. The bochur replied that when he escaped from Iran he travelled for weeks by camel, slept in caves in the desert, and ate barely nothing. I’ll gladly sleep on the floor in the hallway or someplace like that. Needless to mention the he was graciously accepted, and now is a choshuva yungerman with a nice family.
