Ahavas Tzedakah’s current annual budget is over $2 million, helping nearly 800 families afford basic necessities – some on a weekly basis, some before Succos and Pesach. Still, the organization’s budget is beyond stretched. It faces an annual deficit plus a waiting list of over 100 needy families who are desperate for some form of Ahavas Tzedakah’s assistance but cannot be helped as of yet.

The Lakewood area kehillos will unite at the organization’s upcoming 9th annual evening, which will iy”H take place on Tuesday evening, July 23rd, at Ateres Chana Hall (Bais Faiga). Participants will enjoy a rich, entertaining program while showing support and taking achrayus for the organization that helps so many of their friends, neighbors, even relatives – so that it can continue helping them and those currently awaiting help.

This year’s honorees include Rabbi and Mrs. Noshi and Mimi Zelikovitz, who will receive the Ahavas Tzedakah Award; Mr. and Mrs. Yoni and Leah Mayer, Block Representatives of the Year; Mr. and Mrs. Cheely and Lieba Hirth, Guests of Honor; Mr. and Mrs. Elisha and Aidi Levine, Rodef Chesed Award; Mr. Simcha Leiner, Journal Chairman; Mr. Yitzy Shanik, Campaign Chairman; and Rabbi Shloimy Epstein, MC.
