Accident Victim R’ Pinchos Huminer To Publicly Bentch Gomel In Lakewood

Reb Pinchos Huminer, the Sofer from Eretz Yisroel who was critically struck by a vehicle in Lakewood last Purim, will be coming to Lakewood to publicly Bentch Gomel, Askonim close to R’ Huminer and who met last night to discuss the plans tell TLS.

R’ Huminer is expected to come to Lakewood the Sunday before Purim together with his son, and publicly Bentch Gomel in a tent which they are planning to set up at the scene of the accident, at Heathwood and 14th Street.

R’ Huminer, who was critically injured after being struck by a vehicle on Purim night, is doing much better physically, but still needs much help emotionally, Askonim say.

“He is a able to Daven for the Amud”, one of the Askonim involved says.

In July, R’ Pinchos was released from an Israeli Hospital, about 5 months after the horrific accident which left him fighting for his life and in a vegetative state.

Shortly following his release, R’ Pinchos together with Askan Reb Michoel Rottenberg met with R’ Elyashiv Shlita, who warmly welcomed the pair and Bentched all who continue to care for R’ Huminer. (See exclusive video below).

Since the accident, R’ Michoel together with R’ Shragy Pinter, have been very involved in seeing to it that all possible is done for R’ Huminer and his family. While R’ Pinchos lay in a Coma for months, R’ Rottenberg traveled several times to Eretz Yisroel to give Chizuk to the distraught family, and to assist the family financially, while the head of the household could no longer support them.

TLS has learned that 4 Megillos which R’ Huminer wrote prior to his accident, are currently being sold. They are available for purchase by calling R’ Chaim Blum at 845-866-2135.

Further details of the event – coordinated by a Mechutan of Huminer, R’ Avrohom Yitzchok Krishefsky, and other Askonim – will be published when they are finalized. TLS.

don’t wait until such a tragic event happens to you or anyone else C”V to learn & show hashem that you appreciate life.

START TODAY showing hashem how you appreciate each day & hour hashem gives you to live by, spending your time wisely & thanking hashem from your heart (kavana) for everything Hashem gives us… Uvacharta B’chaim… (choose life) & show Hashem that you are using his gift-of life-wisely & deserve to continue living until 120

An amazing story.
The whole tent thing seems a bit over the top. there are people who could probably use the money for real bills and things like that.

A big lesson to be learned from this story, is to use extreme caution on Purim. A day of a lot of fun and Simcha, but is also a very dangerous day for pedestrians and vehicles. PLEASE plan accordingly and have “a freilichen Purim”!
