UPDATED: Accident Involving Tractor Trailer, Dump Truck And Box Truck Causing Massive Backup On Turnpike South

MVA turnpike PHOTO: 2:50 p.m. A serious accident involving a Tractor Trailer, Dump Truck and Box Truck is causing a nearly 5 mile backup on the NJ Turnpike South near exit 14. If you’re heading to Lakewood any time soon, you may want to seek an alternate route, as only one lane remains open at this time. Tip & PHOTO: TLS-CAC.

UPDATE: One has died in the crash. Routes 1 and 9 have heavy delays as well as motorists look for alternative travel routes. The turnpike’s northbound lanes are also backed up due to rubbernecking.

Delays are expected to last throughout the day as the massive accident is being investigated.
