Four people were injured, and at least one seriously, in an accident in Lakewood this evening, officials say.
The two-vehicle accident occurred shortly before 7 PM at the intersection of Williams Street and Prospect Street.
Over a dozen emergency personnel responded to the scene, along with approximately six ambulances from Hatzolah and Lakewood EMS.
Two patients were transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, and two were transported to MMCSC.
At least one patient suffered severe injuries, and Lakewood’s Traffic & Safety division is responding.

My prayers for a speedy recovery to all injured.
Am I the only one who thinks that the intersection of Prospect and Williams needs a traffic light?
A traffic light is in the plans. It was actually scheduled to be installed last November. It was probably delayed because of the construction going on.
Anyone know the name for Tehillim?
I was hit a few months back at that intersection , fellow just disregarded the stop sign and boom
I think with the hill its hard to stop if not paying attention
I totally agree with the other posts regarding a traffic light.
A traffic light there will back prospect up straight to route 9
That might be so, Just Wondering, but right now Williams is backed up for blocks at rush hour. Maybe a short light to let a few vehicles at a time would be better than nothing and would alleviate backups on all those blocks. Just wondering myself also.
Why would construction delay the traffic light?
just drive like a mentch nothing more to say
