A Shuvu Story: Hilchos Tzitzis and a Boy on a Mission

[COMMUNICATED] Most of our schools at this time of the year learn with the boys Hilchos Tzitzis.

The Rebbes teach the halachos and then they buy the Tzitzis and make them together in class.

It is heartwarming to come to Shuvu schools and see the boys with their Tzitzis hanging out.

In Rishon L’tzion the 7th grade Rebbe asked the boys to first get permission from their parents to see if they allow them to wear them at home as well.

Roni knew that his mother would not allow him since he tried so many times. Upon my last visit to the school before Pesach Vacation I walked into the 7th grade and they were all proudly wearing their Tzitzis.

I could not help but notice that Roni too was wearing his Tzitzis, he too was wearing a big smile from ear to ear.

Proudly he told me that his Tzitzis are not so pashut, because all the years his mother objected to it.

Now however, he davened and asked the class to daven so that she would give her permission.

Roni told her mother that he is would like the Tzitzis for his Pesach present and after pleading she finally agreed!!!

Some of the boys were saving them for Pesach, and Roni said that he could not wait that long….
