A neighbor who was immediately on scene of the ramming attack in Jackson, shared the following details with TLS.
“When I got to the scene, I thought he was dead. He was flat-out when I got there. He was talking, but couldn’t move his legs. The police were searching the area using a chopper, canines, they were going door-to-door, they tried seeing if I had ring footage.
“I witnessed as I was going to davening a car driving down the block with a busted tire and turned onto White Road. I was thinking to myself, “why doesn’t he pull over?”
“30 seconds later, someone ran over screaming, “call hatzolah, call hatzolah.” I ran into my house and grabbed my phone and by the time I got it someone had already called. I ran back to the scene where hatzolah was. After that, police came and mapped out the area and was investigating.
“The victim was walking to shul when “Dion Marsh” ran up the grass of his front lawn and ran him over, Dion then went and drove off. There were multiple other people going to shul that he was driving towards, but didn’t hit them.”
Please continue to be Mispallel for Moshe Yigal ben Brunya.
I got there at the same time, the only reason he’s alive is because the car hit the curb and blew a tire as he hit him. He kept on driving even with the victim on his hood.
If not for the blown tire, who knows how many people could’ve died.
Chasdei Hashem!
We just witnessed a lot of miracles with this rampage. The tire that blew up in the car ramming. The knife handle that broke in the stabbing attack. We should all thank the RBS”O that it didn’t end up with multiple casualties and be Mechazeik ourselves in Torah and Mitzvos which are our main Shmira.
May the victims have a Refuah Sheleima Bekarov.
