Flutist Meyer Rosenbaum and Guitarist Yankela Friedman traveled to North Carolina yesterday to play for a Misameach patient.
On their way back, they had a few extra minutes in the airport and decided to entertain travelers.
To travelers, they probably appeared like a couple homeless musicians, but little did they know they were enjoying a free Kumzitz from a couple professional musicians – who use their amazing talents to lift the spirits of thousands of people.
(The money in the hat will be donated to Misameach!)

The song is on the 3rd clip called Devenen composed by Duvid Meisels. The 1st 2 clips arent opening for me. I dont know yankele but Im an old fan of Meyer – he’s an awesome talent !! Rock on, boys !!
They what !!? Forget the airport. Did you just say they flew to North Carolina to Play for a PATIENT ?!! That is, like, insane. These 2 guys are malachim dressed up as Lakewood Musicians. BTW, I know Misameach has done crazy stuff in the past but to send 2 guys to N.C. has gotta be a new frontier – even for them Lipa – You continue to amaze me.

These clips are great. Many things here are surprising, tho. 1 – As a previous post mentioned, I’m shocked 2 guys went to NC for a Misameach call; thats amazing. #2 – I’m shocked they played Jewish songs in a goyeshe venue; I thought they’d play secular Jewish songs (Simon Garfunkel, Dylan etc etc) #3 – I’m surprised they used the hat for donations; most street performers I’ve seen use the guitar case; its also bigger, #4 – I’m surprised the airport let them do this; I’ve never seen street performers in airports, ever & #5, perhaps the most shocking, these are Yiddishe kids, playing Heimishe songs, dancing around with their Tzitzis out, in a goyish atmosphere, & the Goyim are PUTTING IN MONEY !!
