A Lakewood Resident’s Tefillah B’Tzibur and Instant Reward

Letter: Though I never share personal life stories, I want to share this story which I feel would be a Chizuk for others.

Several weeks ago, I was attending a high-end event in Lakewood.

The food and the ambiance was out of this world and I was having a great time.

But right before they were about to serve the main course (which I knew would be something special based on previous similar events hosted by the same people), I looked at my watch and realized I hadn’t Davened Mincha yet.

There didn’t appear to be a Minyan at the event, and I was contemplating just going into a side room to Daven. I came up with a couple reasons why I should just stay and Daven B’Yechidus (besides, I was really in the mood of the meat they would be serving at the event). I knew if I leave for Mincha there is no way I’m making it back to the event.

I’m a simple Balabus, but for some reason this little voice inside me told me, “How often do you have the opportunity to give up a good piece of meat for Hashem’s honor? It’s almost like a Korban in today’s world without a Bais Hamikdash… imagine how much more this would mean to Hashem.”

I was quite hungry, but I decided to leave and go Daven instead with a Minyan. I never returned to the event, but I felt very good about my decision. I felt that Mincha was definitely special in Hashem’s eyes.

The next morning, I got a very unusual email at the office. Someone out of the blue reached out to place an order for over $100,000 – something I have not seen all year. I Closed the deal the same morning.

Now, I’m not a Navi, but the connection hit me immediately.

I went against my nature just the night before for Hashem, and I’m convinced Hashem was sending me a message, “You will never lose out by doing something in my honor.”

This story gave me tremendous Chizuk, and I just felt that sharing it with others who face similar challenges would find Chizuk in it too.

Thank you TLS for allowing me to share this story.

A Lakewood Balabus.

This is super cool & not a coincidence.

You should keep seeing brachos & yeshous like this.

Goose has several times seen similar occurrences after giving tzedaka.

Multiple times this year yours truly has given an unspecified amount and the very same day received 10X that amount (maaser)

Straight from the heavens without a doubt.

I wish someone would write a book on the topic of Tefilah Betzibur that explains the significance of it. As someone who travels from time to time for work, I sometimes have a hard time Davening with a minyan I wish there was a book explaining the importance and value of it.

You are no simple ba’al ha’bus – you are a Giant.
