A Heartfelt Message from a Father of Five Children

Dear Klal Yisroel, My dear wife, the outstanding mother of my precious children,

has been suffering from a dreaded illness for years and has been languishing in the hospital over the last twelve weeks in dire straits. Our children yearn to be reunited as a family at home with their mother once again, and they call throughout the day to inquire as to when their mother will return.

In seeking z’chusim to heal my wife’s condition, I look to my brothers and sisters in klal Yisroel and ask then to help overturn the g’zeirah not with money, but by harnessing the power of vatranus. I ask that friends, family members and partners forgive one another, with their whole heart, even in instances where they believe that they are genuinely in the right.

As daunting as this task may seem, I ask you to imagine my predicament: I sit alone, in a cold, unfeeling hospital room every day, next to my incredible wife, far away from my children who ask on a daily basis, “When is Mommy coming home?” Just think for one moment: is the grudge so powerful that it cannot be mollified? Is the slight or feeling of ill-will so profound — or necessary — that it cannot be assuaged under any conditions?

Vatranus, especially where one feels he or she is in the right, is a proverbial korban, and it has the capacity to transform din to rachamim. I humbly ask that those who find themselves in a situation wherein they are at odds with a friend, partner, boss, employee, or family members (or any other permutation) to forgive one another completely in the z’chus through which my wife, Chaya Tziporah Toba bas Esther Rochel, will have a refuah shleima b’karov.

Whoever wishes to discuss this matter with me personally should text me at (845) 987-4328.

My brother in law said some pretty stupid things about me to my shver which were untrue. This caused me humiliation. I spoke with him and resolved to forgive him.

May your wife have a r”s.
