  1. You should put in Carl Fink. He is bright, does not need anyone to do favors for him and has a great interest in the kids.My answer is
VOTE FOR CARL FINK. YOU WILL NOT BE SORRY…….

  2. If your kids don’t go to the public school, then you shouldn’t be on the board- at least not in a majority… It’s a conflict of interest.

  3. Geshmakalypse, I respectfully disagree with you for two reasons. First, the Board makes decisions which impact private schools as well. Second, they make decisions which impact property tax rates.

  4. @Geshmakalypse We pay property taxes. We are the majority in town. We have rights in 2014. We can vote in whomever we’d like.

The question is are we voting in the right people and are they making the right decisions?

  5. People who care about the public school children should have the majority of seats on the board. Yes private schools get services from public schools but it is a public school board.

  6. I agree that only public school parents should sit on the board and be the only ones able to vote for it. and since its a public school board all money coming into the boe should only be used for public school. And by the way you guys could split the cost between yourselves don’t get any private school parents involved in that either.

  7. All member occupying seats on the board of education should be ones who care about ALL services that the district provides.
Its an oath you take when you are sworn into office and this goes for every civil service job. That does NOT mean that you need to have a child in public school in order to qualify for a seat. That would be a very ignorant statement.
Does a teacher need to have their child in the classroom to qualify as a teacher?
Does a heath care provider need to make patient decisions based on their own health condition or that of their families?
Are government officials not qualified to make changes in Medicare/ Medicaid because his or her family is not on welfare?
Perhaps if you DO have a child in the system you should then be disqualified because THAT would be a conflict of personal interest, since you might be making decisions with tax payer money for your own personal benefit.

  8. Essentially the public parents want no Orthodox Jews on the board, while the majority of property taxes. Does that make sense. We fund the system, we should have a say.

The problem boils down to self interest, and not the interest of ALL students. As some mentioned before.

If we keep voting the same clowns in, nothing will change. Wake up.

  9. Can we get some college educated guys on the board. We need more polished refined representitives to deal with the issues. We need someone with work experience in a secular enviornment. One who has been out there dealing with the secular world will know how to handle the many issues that arise in a diplomaticlly correct manner. I fear we may otherwise end up like monsey. We really need more Isaac Zlotkins.
