Five officers will be promoted to Sergeants this evening, Police Chief Rob Lawson tells TLS. The ceremony will be taking place at the Municipal Auditorium prior to the Memorial Day ceremony, which begins at 7:30 PM.
The officers being promoted, are: Robert M Humeny, Robert Desimone, David Sussman, William Butterworth and Robert Shimonovitch.
The promotions, says Chief Lawson, are to replace the retired officers and the officers set to retire in the coming months. TLS
