Five men broke into an Industrial Park business last night and stole thousands of dollars worth of power tools, Detective Captain Paul Daly confirms to TLS.
At about 10:08 PM last night, police received an alarm coming from the Van Sant equipment store on Oberlin Avenue, and upon arrival found the place burglarized, with nobody in sight.
Video surveillance recovered from the store shows a partially masked man emerge from a vehicle and pry open the door to the store, says Daly. The burglar was then joined by four other partially masked men.
The burglars proceeded to steal eleven chain saws, a power washer and a weed-whacker, with a value of over $12,000, Daly says.
The Lakewood Detectives Bureau and CIU are investigating the incident. [TLS-46/TLS-CCP]
