40 Bike 4 Chai Riders Take Part In ‘Bike MS’ Bike Ride Through NYC

PHOTO: About 40 Bike 4 Chai riders took part yesterday in the ‘Bike MS’ bike ride yesterday through Manhattan to raise funds for the research of MS (Multiple Sclerosis).

The riders – which included about 15 from Lakewood – served as the Bike Marshals for about 5,000 bikers who took part in the ride.

Bikers had the option to ride either 30, 55 or 100 mile routes.

Along the route participants got to experience seeing the Intrepid Museum, Chelsea Piers, the Battery Park Underpass, the Brooklyn Bridge, United Nations, the Queensboro Bridge and Yankee Stadium.

The ride raised about $2 million. TLS.

  1. Great ride! In contrast with Bike4Chai, it took 6000 riders in Bike MS NYC to raise 2 million. Bike4Chai had only 200 riders and Raised $1,882,878.46!!!!!

  2. The sites mentioned were all on the 30 mile route which circled all of Manhattan. The 55 & 100 mile options went through the Holland Tunnel up the Hudson & Bergen County coastline, up 9W towards Bear Mountain, then returning South across the GWB (where this pic was taken) then South to Finish line near Intrepid.
