Four juvenile students were arrested today in connection with the burglary and thefts of computers from the Lakewood Middle School over a two week span, Captain Paul Daly tells TLS.
The suspects, whose names are not released because they are juvenile, were picked up after police nabbed one of the juveniles involved.
Daly says one of the juveniles was spotted walking with a desktop computer some time prior to the burglaries to the school being reported, but didn’t make anything of it – though finding it suspicious.
After the report of the burglaries came in, police located the student with the computer and found him to be in possession of the stolen item.
The suspect was questioned, and led police to three other suspects involved in the burglary.
Daly says the suspects, all students at the Middle School or High School, were arrested, and three of the four stolen computers were recovered.
The students made entry to the Middle School by breaking an exterior window and then breaking another window to the computer room.
The four were charged with Burglary and Theft, and released to their parents. TLS.
Train them young!
Hello, do you think the school, and all schools, could get burgler alarms?!
So they are teens. Release their names and let them and their families suffer. Maybe, just maybe these theives will change their ways when their families are embarressed no end!!!
Maybe public schools should rethink this ipad technology stuff and stick to good ol pen and paper. It’s just a big invite for the kids to steal stuff. It’s worth their trouble if they can get away with so much stuff
This is the chunk of funds where taxpayers pay a high price!
FYI- these type of things happen all over America daily. To # 4, we have more children that want to learn, to become a working class citizen then we had in the last 12 years. What is it going to take for people to understand what the last 12 years did to the public schools.
Are these the same people who took all the ipads? Wonder where they are
to Pen and Paper;
While we are at it lets get rid of calculators and have the kids count on their fingers. So instead of trying rise the students up by using the most up to date technology, so they are ready for the real world, lets hold them back so when they get older they have no choice but to steal your stuff.
Thanks 274 LPD
again I will post my thoughts here and it will probably not get posted as this site only wants views that in line with the person who”modrates” or better term would be controls what others can say ,The theft reported here while is certainly not condoned at all under any circumstances it is small compared to the money wasted and misused in this town
