Members of the Toms River Police Department Special Enforcement Team yesterday executed a court authorized search warrant on room at the Howard Johnson’s Hotel, located at 955 Hooper Avenue. As a result of the search warrant, approximately 30 bricks of heroin (1513 wax folds street value of $15,000), 16 grams of cocaine and $11,800 in US currency was seized, says Police Chief Michael Mastronardy.
At the conclusion of the investigation, Shane Roberts, 28, from Brick, was charged with possession of heroin, possession of heroin with the intent to distribute over 1/2 ounce, possession of cocaine and possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute over 1/2 ounce. Bail was set at $300,000 with no 10% option. He is currently lodged in Ocean County Jail.
Sherita Brown-Roberts, 35, from Brick, was charged with possession of heroin, possession of heroin with the intent to distribute over 1/2 ounce, possession of cocaine and possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute over 1/2 ounce. Bail was set at $175,000 with no 10% option. She is currently lodged in Ocean County Jail.
Joan Sudano, 56, from Brick, was charged with possession of heroin and possession of Suboxone. She was released on a summons.
Christine Sudano, 31, from Lakewood, was charged with possession of heroin. She was released on a summons.
During the 2013 calendar year the Toms River Police Special Enforcement Team has seized over 14,000 bags of heroin at a street value of over $140,000.
