IT as a Parnassah: Q and A with Avi Carmen, Course Graduate

Q: Please tell us about the field of Networking and Desktop Support.

A: Businesses and organizations rely on computers and networks to run efficiently. Professionals in the Desktop and Network Support field install maintain and optimize these systems.

Q: Please tell us about your current position.

A: As a Help Desk Professional, I help end users get the most out of their systems. This includes setting up computers, installing software, and troubleshooting issues as they arise.

Q: How did this course prepare you?

A: The PCS course thoroughly prepared me for the IT field. The information was relevant and up to date. Most importantly, I was able to gain hands-on experience through labs and other learning opportunities. When I began my first job there was a feeling of “I’ve done this before”. As a bonus, the course was both interesting and engaging. It was given by a seasoned IT Professional currently in the field.

Q: For whom would you recommend the IT field?

A: I would recommend this field for someone who enjoys taking on challenges and learning new things.
