22-Year-Old Killed in Accident on Garden State Parkway in Toms River [PHOTO]

State Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred today on the Garden State Parkway in Toms River, TLS has learned.

Troopers responded to the accident at approximately 11:35 a.m. on the Garden State Parkway south, near milepost 82.8 in Toms River, NJSP told TLS.

“Based on a preliminary investigation, John DeLuca, a 22-year-old male from Manahawkin, NJ, was operating a Buick SUV south on the GSP,” NJSP said. “In the area of milepost 82.8, the Buick ran off the road and struck multiple trees. As a result of the crash, DeLuca sustained fatal injuries.”

The crash remains under investigation.

  1. Too many accidents on the NJ GSP. Don’t know if it applies here,but the speeding and weaving in and out of lanes are terrible. The high winds don’t help. People please think of the safety of yourself and others when you get behind the wheel. So sad. I pray for his family, the family of the ones killed on 37 and the burned driver from the 8 car accident on 70.
