Letter: Happy Birthday to a Frequent Flyer who never missed a Minyan since his Bar Mitzvah (VIDEO)

We would like to extend best wishes to a great man among us.

The man dedicates his days and nights to others, and is a phone call away at any given time to those in need.

He is a man whose selflessness knows no bounds, and is a role model for all of us.

This man is Rabbi Yehudah Kaszirer, the Administrative Director of Lev Rochel Bikur Cholim of Lakewood.

There is another aspect about Rabbi Kaszirer that deserves special mention.

Rabbi Kaszirer is a frequent flyer, constantly traveling the Country, and the world, on behalf of Bikur Cholim. From the friendship houses that are run by Bikur Cholim of Lakewood at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, and the Cleveland clinic in Ohio, to traveling worldwide to assist patients in need.

Throughout his extensive travels, however, there is not a Tefillah that Rabbi Kaszirer has missed Davening with a Minyan. Not a Shacharis, Mincha, or Maariv! Crossing the globe and back, at any hour of the day or night, Rabbi Kaszirer has shown his values by rearranging an entire days’ schedule so as not to compromise Davening with a Minyan.

Below is a video from the famous ‘Bar Mitzvah Of The Century’ of Lazer Galperin one year ago today, where this was publicly recognized as he was introduced to speak, and wished a happy birthday.

Rabbi Kaszirer spoke about the amazing work of so many who were involved with, and opened up their hearts for Lazer and the Galperin family during their stay in Lakewood.

But in reality, it was Rabbi Kaszirer himself who orchestrated and arranged so much of these amazing efforts. This is who Rabbi Kaszirer is.

To Rabbi Kaszirer: You are a true גומל חסד, an example to all around you, how to be dedicated in helping the כלל, and yet how to not compromise your עבודת ה׳ either.

We wish you a very happy and healthy birthday, and may הקב”ה grant you Koach to continue in your עבודת הקדש.

  1. Hakadush Boruch Hu should continue to shower you with strength to continue all you wonderful avodas hakodesh! You are a true role model for all of us! Bikur Cholim is always there for every one 24/7 and you are the backbone!
    Happy Birthday!

  2. Rabbi Kaszirer is a true example of someone who is there for the klal and always ready to do for another person. Truly amazing and inspiring!
May you always be on the giving end and see much bracha and hatzlacha!

  3. I BH havent missed a minyan for 18 years from the age of 12 to 30 and i can appreciate what it takes.

including having a minyan come to the hospital after surgery to stopping busses to find a jew to leaving on my wedding night for a minyan (with special permission), turning down jobs.

I did however once miss a minyan about 5 years ago and it was devastating and took alot of time to understand it and comprehend it after all the sacrificing.

I actually believe that i get more schar now for every minyan because its not a record.

Anyway, my point is that this is an ubeleivable thing and i find it amazing that bli ayin hara at that age he can still keep it going with all his travel.

may he only have lots of mazel and bracha and maybe he will put out a book of interesting minyan stories which i am sure he has many.

  4. Mazel Tov Yehudah! AMOS”H!!

Like everyone else I’m truly inspired by your selfless work for the Klal, and the way your family supports it. I’ve noticed how you schedule meetings around Mincha but never knew how far you’d go out of your way to Daven with a Minyan!

The Shulchan Aruch 90:11 states clearly what awaits those who don’t Daven in Shul R”L and the M”B contrasts it with the reward for those who do.

Wish I could say same about myself, at least when I’m in town (!) Maybe that should be my Elul Kabala…

    Keep up the great work!
    A fan

  5. Yehudah, you are like your namesake. Standing up for your brothers in need and in pain. May Hakodesh Buroch Hu, give koach, and much Mazel and nachas from your wonderful family.
    We are so proud!

  6. Rabbi Yehuda Kaszirer is a tzaddik who reaches the highest levels of avodah shi’blev in both tefillah (Ta’anis 2a) and chessed! May he have much continued brocha v’hatzlachah in his tremendous avodas hakodesh! PG Waxman

  7. Reb Yehuda is from the biggest tzadikim of Lakewood and the world. a man that thinks, breaths, eats, drinks and sleeps (actually, doesn’t sleep) chesed. those who know him are a little bit stand in awe of him but I can truly say that he is way way way underappreciated in this town. I cant even think of how this town would survive without him. there isn’t a person in Lakewood that hasn’t benefitted from him and bikur cholim directly or indirectly.
lets not forget to mention how his aishes chayil and children are also part of this amazing chesed machine. he couldn’t do all this without her support and their encouragement.

  8. It is unbelievable. But another mention has to be made. Behind every successful man there is a woman! He must have a special aishes chayil!!! To her we should all be saying thank you for lending out her husband to the klal! Kol hakavod!!!

  9. I am a recent recipient of Bikor Cholim. All I can say is WOW! Everything I needed was taken care of in such an organized and bakovodika manner. A special thank you to T Shulman for going above and beyond what she was hired to do.
Rabbi Kaszirer is an example to the entire lakewood and beyond to what it means to give to the klal.
    Yasher Koach!

  10. It is difficult to understand how he is able to simultaneously run this huge organization, be personally present at various emergencies and hospitals on a daily basis (I KNOW from personal experience) and keep zmanei tefilla with minyan! Wow, that will put all of our excuses to shame…. An amazing role model.
May H’ bentch him with continued koach and wisdom in his klall work and nachas and bracha in his personal life.
And, yes, a tremendous thank you to his wife and children for sharing him with the Lakewood community!
