Two juveniles were struck by a vehicle on Chambers Bridge Road Saturday afternoon, Brick Police say. At 5:15 pm on Saturday, Brick Police responded to the intersection of Brick Blvd and Chambers Bridge Roadwhere a driver struck two of four juveniles attempting to cross the intersection.
Police say the traffic light for the driver turned green while the juveniles were still in the roadway, and the driver – who noticed the juveniles at the last minute, was unable to avoid two of the four boys from the group.
Brick Police EMS and MONOC Paramedics responded to the scene.
The first juvenile, a 15 year old male from Brick, was transported to Jersey Shore Medical Center with head trauma and internal injuries where he remains in critical condition. The second juvenile, a 14 year old male from Brick, was also transported to Jersey Shore Medical Center, with internal and facial injuries, where he remains for observation.
