18 Graduate Lakewood Police Youth Academy

PHOTOS & VIDEO [UPDATED 2:35 PM] Eighteen students graduated the Ocean County Police Youth Academy this morning. Parents and grandparents watched as the young students received their police certificate from Police Chief Rob Lawson, following a week-long vigorous police training.

The Summer program, founded by Chief Lawson about 5 years ago, teaches the children about real police work while getting a hands on experience with various different Law Enforcement agencies and activities – both locally and state-wide.

The Lakewood Police instructors, were Officers Alex Guzman, Jerome Cohen, Pete Larosa, Erik Menck and Kenneth Burdge. TLS.

  1. What a great Program .The Kids also Where learning about teamwork .A great Tool for there future .Thank you Chief Larson & your Police Officers for this Program & your guidence for these Children .

  2. The reason there are no Frum students is because one of the requirements to graduate from this “police academy” is that a person can not graduate with any facial hair other than a mustache.

Hopefully this will be rectified by next summer so I can send my child there.
