16 Local Non-Profit Organizations Share $160k In CDBG Funds

PHOTOS: Sixteen local non-profit organization received a check from the Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) during last night’s Township Committee meeting.The director of the Department of Community Development, Ervin Oross, and Board member Mrs. Chavi Chase, presented the various organizations with checks worth thousands of dollars each.

There are strict guidelines for where the CDBG funds can be distributed, and at least 15% of the earmarked funds are to be used for public sector organizations, an official said.

This year’s public sector funds of the approximately $873,000 in grants, was divided between the sixteen approved organizations.

Its always the same organizations that get…they shouls sometimes give to ones that never got.

If you need a boost you got Chavarim.
A community watches you got Shrage Pinter.
For the families with special needs you got the Captain.
There is no greater town then Lakewood
