16 Local Non-Profit Organizations Share $160k In CDBG Funds

PHOTOS: Sixteen local non-profit organization received a check from the Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) during last night’s Township Committee meeting.The director of the Department of Community Development, Ervin Oross, and Board member Mrs. Chavi Chase, presented the various organizations with checks worth thousands of dollars each.

There are strict guidelines for where the CDBG funds can be distributed, and at least 15% of the earmarked funds are to be used for public sector organizations, an official said.

This year’s public sector funds of the approximately $873,000 in grants, was divided between the sixteen approved organizations.

  2. A special thank you to board member Eli Rennert for the time and effort he put into this project to make sure the funds are distributed in a way that will benefit the town most.
