14 Year Old Charged after Threatening 10 Year Old With Knife

PHOTO: A 14 year old boy was charged today after pulling a knife on a 10 year old girl, TLS has learned. At about 3:45 PM today, Officer Sean Ward was dispatched to Woodlake Manor Dr. To investigate the report of a 14 year old male that threatened a 10 year girl with a knife.

Upon arrival, he was advised by the victim’s mother that when her daughter got off the bus, the 14 year old neighborhood boy was at the bus stop. The suspect pulled out a knife, grabbed the little girl and put the knife against her side, says Staffordsmith.

“She was able to free herself and ran home to tell her mother about the incident.” says Staffordsmith.

Other witnesses advised Officer Ward and well as Officer Sean Doyle, who was now on scene, that the suspect was still around the corner.

The Officers proceeded around the corner when they observed the suspect among a group of people. As the Officers approached, he started to walk away from the group. After advising him several times to stop, he fled on foot and on to the neighboring golf course.

Officer Doyle pursued on foot, as Officer Ward returned to his car to try and head him off on the other side.

As Officer Doyle entered the golf course, he was able to locate a golf cart and continued the pursuit.

The suspect was then quickly apprehended.

The fourteen year old was charged with Obstruction, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose and Aggravated Assault on Juvenile. He was later transported to the Juvenile Detention Center in Toms River. [TLS]

  1. 14, huh ? Getting an early start. This comes from these tourhs playing violent video games. & watching violent shows & movies for hrs a day.

  2. Officer Sean “sabad” Doyle. He is a mench to the entire town. Wasnt there an article a while back that he was LPDs officer of the year? Keep up sabads. Officer ward does have a way with kids. Always willing to get the job done! Both are great cops. Lakewood PD is a great group.

  3. I love how people are quick to blame video games for all the troubles in our society. I’ve been playing them for 30 years and I have never been arrested for a violent crime. Maybe if this country did some actual parenting instead of trying to be your child’s friend. We wouldn’t be always seeing this type of (moderated).

  4. It doesn’t come from video games and movies, it comes solely from the environment you’re raised in and the people you and your family surround themselves with.

  5. While not arguing whether video games made this happen or not…

If you’ve been playing video games for 30 years I’ll assume you’re in your mid-30s. Don’t you think you’re a bit old for that?

  6. Officer Sean “Yaakov” Doyle 254,

You inspire me. I admire your dedication to our wonderful town. I wrote a short poem on your behalf:

Officer Doyle, your skills are like oil,
    You’re quick and you’re whitty,
A mench to our small city.
Continue your service, and smile with glee,
thank g*d for your job with Lakewood PD

    Thank 254!

  7. #1 I have been playing “violent video games” like GTA for years yet never hurt a fly. People are responsible for actions no need to always blame something or someone.

  8. You Are A Complete Imbecile If You Believe That Violent Video Games Have Anything to Do With It , The Real Fault Is At The Parents For Not Raising Their Kid Properly

  9. People stop blaming things or people, things happen and always have for years now, we hear about it all. Everything is on the computer and that’s why you hear it now.

  10. I am shocked at all the nonsense comments from adults. Obvioulsy this child has issues that need to be dealt with. And for the records I am a republican.
