100 Bikers Arrive To Camp Simcha After 150 Mile Ride – Raise Over $500,000

finish linePHOTOS: The 100 bikers who departed Asbury Park yesterday for the 150 mile bike tour, have just arrived to Camp Simcha in Glen Spey, NY. The riders were greeted by a huge crowd of campers and staff members who loudly cheered for the riders who trekked the 150 miles to bring some happiness to the cancer-stricken patients.

The bike tour this year raised to date $517, 129.65, with one rider alone bringing in over $40,000. Last year’s tour raised about $200,000. Photo credits: Lakewood Shopper and G.E.R.

  4. I just spoke to my brother, he lives out west. He used to race bikes and has gone on many long term rides. I asked him if there is a difference between regular cotton shorts and bike shorts. He explained that the difference is that bike shorts have padding on the bottoms and some even between the legs. This is the real reason for wearing them. He said it really makes a difference when racing or going on a long trip.
