I guess a lesson from all these downed lights is to put the base further in – the top can hang over the sidewalk
Or, in certain towns they have something called a truck route that the driver can only travel certain roads if they have no alternative and they have proof (delivery slip) that they must drive in that area.
2 possible issues:

What’s with that corner, is it an Ayin Horah or something.
A few weeks ago a huge tree demolished a quarter house at that corner while people were coming home from Shul Friday night. Now this main traffic light pole.
