Is this what the new drainage is for that was reported here? But this is not Brookwood 1. It’s surprising that new homes like these would be built without proper drainage in place – if even just on the roadway.
This is why it’s important not to cut down all the trees. Trees help with heavy rains. Once you cut all the trees you get floods. Keep clearing all the trees and there will be more flooding.
Yes! And instead of regular homes build treehouses for the humans to live in
So why isn’t there widespread flooding in Brooklyn where there are fewer trees and absolutely no grass?!?!
Because Brooklyn has normal drainage systems
I wish they would have normal drainage systems in Lakewood, I’m drained from all the flooding.

Adopting Lakewood mentality in Jackson will have the same affect
Unfortunately, the Lakewood mentality of overdevelopment and lack of proactive infrastructure improvements, is making inroads in Jackson. Please stop it. Jackson is so beautiful.
It doesn’t take but common sense to understand overdevelopment leads to these massive issues. Especially with the more they are knitted together. Ask yourself: Was there flooding issues prior to the developments? (2 letter answer)
Use HALER for testing and you wont have these issues!!!
Cut down the trees which can absorb the water, build houses, townhouses, etc. and driveways, sidewalks that cover the ground and what earth is left to absorb the water? It just runs off and into the streets. It’s the peoples fault for building, and permitting to be built, many homes on small parcels of land. A simple question – was there flooding in those areas before the houses were built?
Before those homes were there, it was all beautiful woods.
