🎥 BEWARE: New Unmarked Divider on Rt. 9 Causing Multiple Flat Tires

Multiple motorists have gotten flat tires this evening after hitting the new unmarked cement barrier on Rt. 9 in Lakewood.

While driving down Rt. 9, motorists are met by the barrier which forces them to shift – but they don’t see it until it’s too late.

Chaveirim CJ is placing reflective cones out there now to prevent further incidents until the barrier is completed with proper signs and reflective devices.

Police have also been notified.

If you cant recognize the area from the pictures/videos, its probably not relevant for you.

Either way, Chaveirim kindly handled it.

I obviously didn’t recognize from the videos what neighborhood it is in. I drive down route 9 daily and wanted to know what area to be wary of obstacles. No need to be condescending in your reply. Respect your elders.

This is nothing new. They barely put up signs by the Hurley/ Central changes either. This is worse because there its a direct cause for accidents.

Its a bit of a Kelm situation. ” We’re trying to fix the traffic problems and you guys are just complaining”

Correct, except I once heard that “Chelm” was laitzanus of Maskilim on Kelm, which was a chashuve kehila and yeshiva, so maybe we shouldn’t use that term. But don’t worry, everyone knows no one means anything by saying that

What does this have to do with Kelm?

Chelm was a town of yereim vshleimim choshuve chassidishe yidden, and the maskilim wanted to make fun of them so they fabricated that they were a town of fools. So whoever refers to Chelm as foolish is being mevaze heilige yidden.

Good sure the township and get rid of the barrier before it’s completed. Nonsense to put it there. Caused major traffic jams all week.

This isn’t the township. It’s Rt.9. The state did this. Keep voting democrat

the state did it, not the township. They’re the idiots who decide what to do with arte. 9

At least you guys don’t have to worry about alternate sides parking like we have here in Sedom.

Why are they paving sidewalks on these islands? I can’t imagine it’s safe for pedestrians to be walking on them.

With all due respect, the construction company should have left cones there for a few weeks to make people aware.

The state needs to improve lighting signage and line painting when making changes to lanes and traffic patterns. This happened next to Westgate recently too (and other areas) causing near accidents and significant danger. Something needs to change… does the township need to inspect the states work every time to make sure they leave safe conditions when they “finish” a project?

It was bad enough before and now it’s worse!

And idea to create this barrier. Many drivers going to hit it even with the proper signs

Bad idea to create this barrier

Same by the new lane markings by the beginning of Central right past the Nine. They extended the right lane so it only merges to one lane further down but there’s no signage to merge I’m sure it’s caused many accidents and near accidents.
