BREAKING: Following Meeting Between Lakewood and DOE Officials Title 1 Services to Resume

lkwd doe officials meeting lhsPHOTO: The Title 1 services which funds services to thousands of Lakewood children is expected to resume shortly, following a meeting today between Lakewood and Department of Education officials.

The meeting between the officials, which took place at the Lakewood High School and attended by Senator Singer, Lakewood’s private school deans, focused on getting services to resume as quickly as possible for the benefit of all involved.

According to the agreement with the Department of Education, the contracts in dispute will for the time being be minimally changed to accommodate the federal guidelines, and then be fine-tuned at a later date.

The services are expected to begin this coming week, though no specific date was given at the meeting.

  1. This will be discussed in the ensuing weeks, along with a host of other questions that were posed at the meeting by Yeshiva administrators.

    For now it sounded like the state won’t pursue any additional statute including the ones mentioned above.

  2. I thinkit makes sense to allow the vendors ,askanim andschools to try and work things out . It does not help to have the issues discussed in these comments
