Two Vehicles Overturn in Lakewood in Under 3 Hours

2PHOTOS: Two vehicles turned over in separate accidents which occurred just over two hours from one another. The first one occurred just before midnight at the intersection of Route 9 and County Line Road.

The driver, reportedly drunk, suffered minor injuries and was reportedly taken into custody and hospitalized.

The accident also took out a traffic light and shut the intersection for a couple of hours while repairs were made. No other vehicles were involved.

prosThe second overturn occurred at the intersection of Prospect Street and Massachusetts Avenue. The driver was reportedly not injured. Circumstances surrounding the incident were not immediately clear.

  1. i saw both of them and thank god they were both ok but how do you flip a car when the speed limit is around 40 mph??? like really slow down people lakewood is out of control with all of these unfortunate accidents but we can avoid them if we put the phone down stop at stop signs and just use caution!!!!!!!!!!

    Don’t be judgemental! You don’t know what caused the accident. The first guy was drunk so over there we know. But in the second one we have no idea. Anyway how can you say both were ok when it clearly says that the first guy was hospitalized? Please pay attention to what your reading.

  3. To anon i was in fact at both scenes and they were both OK the first guy was hospitalized yes but he was conscious in doing OK. They were both in fact drunk. Judgmental? No, here in Lakewood there are so many unnecessary car accidents do to drivers who don’t care. Im sick of the way people drive in Lakewood!!!!! All facts I am a resident in Lakewood and cant stand the way people drive its unfair to other drivers!!!!!!
