PHOTO: A woman was injured after being struck by a vehicle which crashed through a garage door at a Lakewood auto shop today, police tell TLS.
The incident occurred at a Route 9 auto shop when an elderly woman mistakenly accelerated while waiting to pull her vehicle inside the repair garage, crashing through the closed garage door, police said.
Police say a woman walking on the other side of the garage door was struck by the car, which also struck a parked vehicle inside the garage.
The woman was transported by EMS to the Jersey Shore Medical Center with serious injuries.
Lakewood’s Traffic & Safety division is investigating the incident. (TLS-CCP)
