VIDEO: At Thursday’s Township Committee meeting, Committeeman Meir Lichtenstien said he received a phone call from Senator Lautenberg’s office asking that Lakewood join in remembering the first responders who lost their lives in the 9/11 attacks, by ringing bells, blowing whistles and sounding sirens.
Senator Lautenberg passed a resolution in the Senate to remember the fallen victims and those injured in the attacks.
The Committee Thursday evening passed the motion and on 1:00 PM on September 11, the Township will honor those heroes by sounding the emergency sounds on one of the darkest days in the hist0ry of the Unites States. TLS.

And a moment of silence where everybody stops and thinks about the sacrifice that people had to make because of terrorism, including those that passed, may their memories be blessed, and those families that have lost their loved ones.,
It woud be honorable if all schools in Lakewood paticipated with all children stopping class for the minute or so. September 11th hurt everyone

public schools always stop for a moment of silence. What gave you the idea that they didn’t, Maybe the private schools don’t. Speaking of honoring holidays, why doesn’t everyone honor Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Veterance day? Without those holidays we wouldn’t have the things we now have.
