  1. let me explain my thoughts. All three gentlemen are very nice people. In this town we don’t need nice people, we need people who care.

  2. If Steve announces that he is open to reassessing the property tax rate of a certain group that Bob lowered to win the last primary election, he will definitely crush Hal. The oilam is still furious over that.

  3. Interesting that Hershkowitz is in the lead. From reading the comments on TLS it always seems that no one likes him anymore. Has TLS been moderating out all the pro Hershkowitz comments?

  4. Hmmm…sounds like its rigged…this reminds me of a poll conducted in the Singer/hh campaign…..where it first had Bob ahead by a fair margin…I checked an hour later …hh was winning by a landslide…I refreshed and refreshed…hh was picking up about 70 vote per 10 seconds…it was shortly discovered…that it was faulty…

  5. I think the TLS is a neutral moderator, and definitely not tilted toward Hershel. So Hershel gets double Steve’s votes and some mysterious commentator cries “cheater, rigged”! Let’s be frank here. If the results were in Steve’s favor, would you also concede that it wasn’t fair?!
Of course not. Let’s just make sure the election stays fair with no favors for votes deals. Then, let the best man win. By the way, once you’re bringing up Bob and fair elections, we all remember the property tax reduction that Bob gave his supporters after he won.

  6. i don’t vote in primaries. i generally vote Democrat. But i have always like Steven. His heart is is in all of Lakewood. I’d vote for Harold as he has the most spunk. I have no idea who Hal is.

  7. HH should stick to his “Toy Story” and stay out of politics. Additionally, this poll is not accurate as I voted and checked back minutes later to see that the individual I didnt vote for just gathered another 20 votes. Something smells fishy about this poll.

  8. Why did you delete my comment? Maybe those of us who pay property taxes should get a double vote or something – otherwise it might constitute taxation without proper representation, which is unconstitutional…

  9. The last poll that TLS did was for the board of ed. The results from that poll were very different then what happened on election night. The reason? Whatever the vaad says to do will happen. The same thing will happen with this election. It doesnt pay to take a poll.

  10. To let’s be civil:Hmmm…Where did you get your assumption that I was pro Steve. Perhaps I’m hh’s staunch supporter. ..I was only noteing that this poll is inaccurate!!!

  11. His supporters usually refer to him as Hershel or Harold or HH,
hh lower case– three times in your original post without variation…..
But MAINLY because I think you were making up or at best highly exaggerating your claim: 70 votes in a brief amount of time; “It was shortly discovered to be faulty”– not that I recall!

  12. Lakewood needs people who are for tax relief. One issue we all have regardless if you want to hear it or not is busing. One goes hand in hand with real tax relief. Cut busing and you cut taxes. Lakewood needs public transportation that will bring in tax dollars and drive children near schools. plain and simple- the only way this is going to happen is with the Vaad’s help
