[PHOTOS & VIDEO] Today, being the last day for the public to submit their designs for a new Lakewood Township logo, Mayor Menashe Miller went down to SCHI (School for Children with Hidden Intelligence) to collect artwork from the special children who took part in the contest.
The contest – which was open to all Lakewood students – is part of a rebranding effort by the Township to create a new image for the Township.
The winner and runners-up of the logo contest will receive a gift card and name recognition from the Township.
The winners will be announced in the coming weeks. TLS.
Unbelievable Mr. Mayor, you brought tears to my eyes….
May God bless Mayor Menashe Miller for his good work and interest in the students at SCHI.
the sesign ideas are very cute, especially the way they brougbht out the diversity with including the handicapped. Great Job!
Seriously, rebranding lakewoods image by special children? This is a job for collage grads…
This Mayor has a heart of gold. No one is to young or to old for him to reach out to! I could well imagine how he must have made their day.
i want to be like major miller wheni am big
TO THE EDITOR: MAKE SURE YOU AVE PHOTO RELEASES FOR THESE CHILDREN, YOU DON’T WANT TO BE SUED.
TO number 4 the mayor just picked up their artwork, he didn’t choose any yet. But anyway look how happy he made the kids, don’t you think it was worth for him to start this project with them in mind?!?! Mayor menashe keep up the great work, thank you
to #4: Lakewood is made up of ALL types of people. Yes, special children are children too! Kudos to Mayor Miller for taking the time to make these children feel like a million dollars!!
All I have to say is WOW very nice, but the one picture only showed one kind of people in Lakewood.
Menashe, excellent job. How much is schi costing the taxpayer. Let me remind the residents of Lakewood. $13 Million dollars for 128 children. There has to be a much more cost effective way. Lets make schi the first charter school in Lakewood-the residents would save real money for the first time
To # 11. Just imagine if it was your child, I pray that the doors @ SCHI will still be opened for you.
Loving parent,
I agree its a great thing for your child- I don’t agree I should foot the bill!
Hey ‘A Loving Parent’: Whats with the guilt trip every time someone mentions something about SCHI budget. $13 Million dollars of our money for 128 children is alot of money and a valid question to ask.
I have no doubt that we could serve these children properly with almost half that amount, and no doors would close.
