The Sylvia Rosenauer Elementary School will not be sold now, Jackson school district officials told TLS.
During a recent school board meeting, the idea to sell the school due to recent funding cuts, was put on the table.
Parents came out to the meeting to oppose the idea. The teachers union also spoke out against the idea.
Today, Jackson officials confirmed there is no plan to sell the school for the time being.
“While Jackson is facing devastating cuts, the district is not planning on selling the school for now,” an official from the district stated.
they really should sell it, the place is a hole in the wall and hasn’t been done over since the 70’s
They will eventually sell the school and property. Enrollment will continue to decrease and other schools in the district will absorb the remaining students. No need to rush the inevitable.
Why should they sell it?
