Are Restrictions Really Still Necessary? | Shlomo Rudman

With more than 50% of US adults now having received a COVID-19 vaccine, the country is slowly getting back to normal as cases and hospitalizations continue their precipitous drop across the country, having now fallen to their lowest levels since March 2020.

According to data from the New York Times, hospitalizations due to COVID-19 in the United States have dropped below 27,000 for the first time since March of last year, and 11,976 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded on May 29th – the lowest number since March 23rd, 2020, when 11,238 cases were recorded.

The steady decrease in cases and hospitalizations has many optimistic that the country could be back to near-normal by summer, with air travel already at pandemic highs and rising, and more venues opening back up for business. But it has also been raising questions over whether the CDC and the Biden administration have been forthcoming with Americans, and whether the rules they continue to enforce are overkill.

The most pressing question is simple: With vaccines available to anyone who wants them, why is it incumbent on me to take measures to protect people who won’t protect themselves? If you are concerned that COVID-19 will seriously harm you, there is a simple solution: get vaccinated! The vaccines have been proven safe and highly effective; the risk you have of becoming sick with COVID-19 is greater than the risk of the vaccine’s side effects (I know a lot of people disagree with this, but the data and evidence is on my side). And if you refuse to get vaccinated, why is that my problem? You have a choice; don’t throw on me the weight of keeping you safe when you won’t even take steps to keep yourself safe.

But unfortunately, many of our public health officials simply don’t care. Instead of providing science-based guidance, they are being driven by politics and ideology.

And that brings up one more question.

If the same people who claimed at the beginning of the pandemic that they will only do what the science tells them to do are now completely ignoring the science, should they still be in office? I think not. It’s time to vote out ideologues and replace them with people who will do what is best for their constituents, not their political careers.

  1. Are the vaccines really safe and effective? Do you have safety studies to prove that? Think about this: Dr. Byram Bridle MD recently spoke on a Toronto radio show. He is a pro-vax viral immunologist, who’s against bad science. He said based on peer reviewed studies that he is privy to, it has been discovered that spike protein alone without the virus causes terrible damage in the body. He also said that the assumption was that the spike protein stays in the shoulder muscle after the vaccine, but studies are showing the spike protein getting into the blood stream thus causing blood clots, heart inflammation, etc. The effects take time to develop and that’s why we only see a small percentage of people with these adverse events so far. He also said this may have implications on fertility since the spike proteins could affect the reproductive organs. Hashem Yiracheim! PLEASE SPREAD THIS to save lives, especially our children!

  2. As an anti-vaxxers and proud, I confess that I was diagnosed recentlymwith anxiety and personality disorder, by four separate professionals I affiliated, my views were and are due to my mental illness, I just wan tnn to share that with everyone, I a, beginning to treat it and we will see how it plays out, my friends who are anti vaxxers as well seem to have the same story. IT TAKES ONE TO KNOW ONE!!!

  3. Keep in mind that there are immunocompromised people that the vaccine does not offer as much protection to. Also there are children who have pre-existing conditions that put them at higher risk who cannot get the vaccine at the present time.
Also, we are not out of the woods yet. For example, measles needs a very high threshold (in the high ninety percent range) of vaccination rates within the community to stop spread within the community and when vaccination rates are lower in some communities you start to see outbreaks. We still don’t know if COVID will also need a high threshold (of 90 % +). Consider the fact that some communities are still well below 50 % percent vaccination rate. Communities with low vaccination rates can still have large outbreaks.

Just as a side note, preventing loss of life even for people who are making the wrong choice is still a mitzvah.

  4. Dr. Peter McCullough–the doctor with the most citations in the National Library of Medicine on these topics–warned that the COVID shot was already causing thousands of deaths and tens of thousands of hospitalizations that have been recorded. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg, he warned. In normal circumstances, 50 deaths reported to VAERS would result in a drug being taken off market immediately. In the case of the COVID shots, thousands have already been reported, and yet the mass vaccination programs continue to be pushed. Dr. McCullough, a professor of medicine who developed a globally acclaimed and highly successful COVID treatment protocol, also emphasized that there have been many unnecessary deaths as a result of policy decisions made at various levels of government.

    • Hmmm. How come we don’t know any of these thousands of people?
Must be part of the conspiracy. Unless Covid- was created by the government just to push the vaccine…

      • Just check it up on “Vaers.hhs.gov”, click “Download vaers data and search CDC Wonder database” click “download raw data” Click “Vaers data” which downloads as an excel file and you can see it too.

  5. The people who choose not to vaccinate are not scared of taking off their masks and crowding and never were in favor of restrictions. Ironically, it’s the pro-vaxxers who are still double masking and social distancing.

    • You are so right. I remember in the VERY VERY beginning of the pandemic realizing that ALL those that thought the Lockdown and restrictions were not the way to go, (But building immunity and keeping healthy instead) Were Almost exlusively anti vaxxers (ie:those that don’t trust the government and medical establishment)
