CHEMED Health Center was honored with a visit today by New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy and Commissioner of Health Judith Persichilli in recognition of CHEMED’s COVID-19 vaccine administration.
The Governor and Commissioner spoke with patients waiting to be vaccinated and thanked the CHEMED staff administering the vaccines.
Since the start of the pandemic, CHEMED has tested over 110,000 people for COVID-19 and administered over 22,000 vaccines.
Dr Friedman, CEO remarked, “CHEMED has embraced the mission of working to fight this terrible COVID-19 pandemic. I applaud my staff for their dedication and hard work in administering vaccines, testing patients, providing monoclonal antibodies and more. Providing these services is a massive undertaking requiring a fantastic staff. We thank the New Jersey Department of Health, under Governor Murphy and Commissioner Persichilli’s leadership for their partnership and strong support and we thank the federal government for its recent inclusion of CHEMED in the federal vaccine allocation program. Our mission is to be part of the solution and we are not able to do this alone.”
