JUST IN: Gov. Murphy lifts some restrictions on indoor dining, wedding ceremonies and more

Murphy: I’m signing an Executive Order to:

– Expand indoor dining capacity to 35%

– Lift the statewide 10:00 PM restaurant indoor service limit.

These changes will take effect Friday, February 5th.

Also effective Friday, February 5th, the following may operate at 35% capacity – with a maximum of 150 individuals–

– Indoor entertainment and recreation areas – including casinos and gyms

Personal care businesses

Indoor performance venues

– Indoor gatherings that are religious ceremonies/services, wedding ceremonies, political activities, and memorial services/funerals

We are able to take steps forward today because of the millions of you who have taken responsibility for ending this pandemic to heart – through constant social distancing, wearing your face masks, and exercising common sense,” Murphy said.

  1. why didn’t the governor thank the dedicated individuals and organizations who are staffing, supplying, and servicing the vaccine centers? and what about presenting a realistic timetable for getting all or at least most of new jersey at the second dose? opening up restrictions without vaccines is like going out in the rain without an umbrella

  2. I totally agree with by??
There are so many new cases of covid out there. Wat is he thinking? Nobody social distances or wears masks in lakewood
People think it’s “not trendy” to wear a mask. How many more people have to die before people realize how dangerous this virus is. Young people are now being affected. Wat don’t people understand?

  3. I totally disagree with surprised

Why is everyone saying lakewood is so bad. Here in Newark none of the rules are listened to. No masks, no social distancing and no capacity limits. It’s like that in many communities. Stop singling minorities.
