While over 2.5 million New Jersey voters have opted to cast their votes by mail, others are waiting to cast their vote in person via provisional ballot on Election Day itself, while some others plan to drop off the filled-out ballots at their polling station.
But voters should be aware that you can only bring your own ballot to drop off with election officials. You cannot bring a ballot for a friend, neighbor, or family member. To be safe, it is best for each voter to personally mail their ballot or bring it to a secure ballot drop box themselves, such as the one by the Ocean County Resource Center at 225 4th Street.
“The way we will vote this year is unlike anything we have experienced in the past,” Ocean County Democratic Executive Director and former Lakewood mayor Marta Harrison told TLS. “Because of how different this election will be, it is of utmost importance that voters are aware of the rules that need to be followed. Our elections are the backbone of our democracy, and the loss of even a single vote due to an unfortunate mistake is something we want to avoid.”
There is an option that allows someone else to put it in the drop box for you. They just have to sign the top left of the envelope where it says Bearer info

I personally brought another’s to give in person at board of elections.
I have always planned to vote in person, as usual. Now I am informed that voting by mail is easier BUT I no longer have my mail-in ballot! I will vote in person if I cannot get another mail-in. Do I go to my usual polling place (by Kimball Hospital)? Is it too late to get a replacement and how to do this? I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one in this position
An authorized messenger – someone designated by the voter who fills out their ID and signs on the outer ballot envelope – can return up to three ballots to the appropriate location.
You can bring up to 3 ballots to the Board of Elections if the bearer section is filled out and you sign the bearer book. You may not bring someone else’s ballot to the polling place, even if you fill out the bearer section.
Does this mean my wifes needs to revote I dropped off my ballot and hers at the same time?
Fyi I went to the Tom’s river library and got a new ballot and placed it in the ballot box right outside the library. It was really quick, no lines or waiting whatsoever, and I was able to place my vote. I reccomend anyone who threw theirs out or didnt get one to go there asap.

The problem is bringing a neighbor’s ballot to the Polling Place. Then it may not be counted.
For those who misplaced, threw out or never received a ballot, you can still get one. Bring your license and a mask to 101 Washington Street in Toms River between 8am and 8pm. Please make the effort. Voting has never been more important.

that’s very far and time consuming!, cant we have a closer place, to pick up a ballot, se we can practice and fulfill our American privilege’s of voting? must i spend all that time traveling to south toms river to get a ballot?
